A bit down

Magnet January 19th, 2007

* I wasn’t feeling good from last 3 days. Lost 2 days at work also :( But, things looks fine now.

* Good news is that LDTP package is in New queue now! Thanks to Nags for answering my all dumb questions :) and sponsor Daniel. And bad news is that I need to refine gnome-orca as ‘big chunk of its data are in usr/share’ which is not recommended situation for architecture dependent package, as it can be wastage of size and build-time for buildd. Mario suggest me to split the package in two parts: gnome-orca-comman (which will be ‘all’) and gnome-orca (’any’)!

Optimizing PHP code

nirav January 17th, 2007

Rasmus Lerdorf took a session on Getting Rich with PHP at foss.in. (and earlier at OSCON). Part of the presentation covers code profiling and optimization. It’s pretty interesting. We are focusing on performance, automation and tools this month at Magnet, so thought of sharing this with all.

For those who are in or near Bangalore, the first Indian Python Conference is happening at full pace!

festival-* in New!

Magnet January 9th, 2007

* Festival-* are in New! You can get them from here and here while they are making way into unstable. Test and listen the magic done by Janabharati/CDAC, Mumbai team.

* Currently busy with LDTP packaging. I am thinking to include good documentations from the web for possible LDTP-doc package. But, let me clear the license attach with it.

* GNUnify 2007 is there! If you are wondering where the website of the event hidden, here it is!
